About Chartwell

Chartwell was the family home of Sir Winston Churchill for over 40 years. The house remains much as it was, with his books, pictures and personal mementoes. The gardens, created by Churchill himself, include the lake he dug, the kitchen garden and the golden rose walk. His painting studio is a highlight.
